We deliver client connectivity both into and between multiple African countries through strong partnerships with local operators, complemented by our strategic investment in the WACS submarine cable system, which lands in the DRC, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
To further strengthen West Africa’s international capacity, we prioritise strategic investments in the Equiano and 2Africa subsea cables. These networks play a critical role in meeting the region’s current and future hyperscale international connectivity needs, unlocking new high-capacity routes between Africa and Europe. As Google’s landing partner for the Equiano cable in Lagos, WIOCC reinforces its strategic leadership within the region’s digital infrastructure ecosystem.
To support this growing capacity demand, OADC Lagos delivers customised colocation services to its anchor tenants, providing the resilient, hyperscale-ready infrastructure required to unlock the full value of these subsea investments. This integrated platform is further strengthened by the continued terrestrial fibre expansion of Open Access Metro across Nigeria, extending high-capacity metro and long-distance fibre routes that connect landing stations, data centres and enterprise clients across key commercial hubs.

We provide integrated end-to-end connectivity across the region, linking key cities and major Points-of-Presence through our extensive national terrestrial fibre networks and metro infrastructure. Our network seamlessly connectsto international subsea cables, including EASSy, SAFE, SAT3, SEACOM, WACS, Equiano and 2Africa, creating high-capacity routes between Africa, Europe and Asia.
To meet South Africa’s surging demand, we enhanced our infrastructure, increasing second-line system capacity to provide higher bandwidth, real-time provisioning and improved service availability.
At the heart of our offering is a unique core-to-edge architecture. Four hyperscale Tier-III data centres, strategically positioned and interconnected across multiple fibre networks, form the backbone of an open-access digital ecosystem. Complemented by more than thirty Edge data centres, this architecture extends data storage, processingand content delivery to the network edge, boosting application performance, enabling local processing of critical data and reducing backhaul costs.

Our capability in Greater East Africa is built on the cross-border integration of extensive national terrestrial fibre networks owned and managed by our local shareholders, which include 11 African investors and the IFC.
Our unique hyperscale network delivers broad terrestrial fibre reach and cross-border connectivity, seamlessly integrated with international submarine cables. In the DRC, OADC-TEXAF Kinshasa data centre is driving investment into the country and supporting increased broadband penetration, strengthening the digital ecosystem.
Expansion across the GECA region is underway, with initiatives in DRC and Kenya currently in progress. As part of this growth, we have incorporated two subsidiaries, WIOCC Kenya Limited and WIOCC RDC, to underpin our expanding footprint and operations across the region.
