Daphne Okama

Daphne Okama is a legal and governance professional with over 13 years of experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance and strategic advisory within the banking and telecommunications sectors. She currently serves as Director at Uganda Telecommunications Corporation Limited, where she provides board-level guidance on governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.She previously held senior legal and governance roles at Stanbic Bank Uganda, including Head of Legal for Corporate and Investment Banking and Acting Company Secretary, advising boards and executive management on complex regulatory, transactional and governance matters. She has been involved in major corporate restructuring, capital raising and public listing transactions across the financial services and telecommunications sectors.Ms. Okama holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Dundee, a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University and professional certifications in international arbitration and global trade.
