John Nicodemus Sicilima

John Nicodemus Sicilima is a telecommunications and technology executive with over 10 years of experience in network engineering, IT strategy, and digital infrastructure development across Africa. He currently serves as the Chief Technology and Information Officer at Millicom Tanzania (Zantel), where he leads the company’s technology strategy, network operations and innovation initiatives to support business growth and service excellence.He previously held regional and senior technical roles within Millicom (Tigo) and other telecommunications companies, overseeing IP network strategy, cloud connectivity, international capacity planning and large-scale infrastructure projects across multiple African markets. His experience includes managing technology budgets, supplier partnerships and delivery of complex network transformation programmes.Mr. Sicilima holds an MBA in International Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is certified in networking and project management, including CCNP and PMP. He has extensive expertise in telecommunications operations, vendor management and technology leadership.
