Sixte Nyuhire

Sixte Niyuhire is an experienced leader in finance and telecommunications, with a strong track record in banking (since 2004) and microfinance (since 2020). Since May 2024, he has been serving as CEO of ONATEL and actively contributing as a board member in several institutions across Burundi and Africa. With over 21 years of expertise in banking and strategic leadership, he supports organisations in achieving sustainable growth and digital transformation. He commits to creating value, building trust and fostering strong and profitable partnerships. Sixte serves on several boards, which include banks, National Guarantee Fund (FIGA), insurance companies and telecom companies. Sixte also contributes to promoting tourism and showcasing Burundi’s cultural and natural heritage.
